Another beautiful California day as we walked to the Christmas Tree forest to find just the right tree for us!
Where does the time go? We've cooked our big turkey of the year, carried the Christmas decorations up from the garage, cut down a beautiful tree, found another Santa in our ten-year Santa decorating plan, and turned the heat up. Not too long ago we were standing under the outdoor shower to cool off! Holidays are magical at the Lodge - especially with all the kids. For those of you who cannot share it with us directly, we hope some of these images will make you feel a little closer. Happy Holidays to all and best wishes for a prosperous and healthy 2001 from all of us at the Lodge @ Saddle Oaks.

After Thanksgiving, we go to the
Twain Harte Christmas Tree Farm to cut down our tree. This year was no

Opa liked the first one he saw - he said it is easy to decorate - three decorations, five lights and we're done! (He only sounds like Ebenezer Scrooge, he is really not that bad!) |

Once we found the right tree, Krista asked the treecutter to come and help us with it. She was excited and ran back ahead of him! |
