An afternoon in San Francisco

On the rare occasion that we don't go home on the weekend, we stay in San Carlos and find something to do! We read an article in Sunset magazine earlier this year about the rehabilitated Crissy Field in San Francisco, it looked like it was worth a visit on an afternoon. So even though the sun was shining in San Carlos, we packed lots of sweatshirts and windbreakers and headed for the City. We know that it is usually a lot cooler in San Francisco that it is on the Peninsula. Mark Twain once said, "The coldest winter I ever experienced was a summer in San Francisco."

Do we look like a TV show?

On our way to the waterfront, we stopped at Alamo Square. Rebecca's favorite TV show, Full House, used these houses at the opening and she was a little disappointed that DJ wasn't washing her car out front!
It's very windy here! We stopped at the Crissy Field Center for a quick bite of lunch and enjoyed all the sailboats going by in the Bay.
"What? Look the other way?" From the shoreline of the Bay, you can look East towards the City and rest your feathers!
Yes, it's as cold as it looks! The view to the West isn't bad either, the tops of the towers are just barely touching the fog!
"toot, toot" The Bay Area is still a busy port, this is the second large container ship we saw sailing under the Bridge!
Becca thinks this is a postcard and should be entered in a contest! It is kind of neat the way the sun shines on the north tower. But it was too cold to stay, and right after this we headed back to sunny San Carlos. Is this a postcard?
