| Debbie wanted to come to
California and stay a few days - guess the weather in Las Vegas had just
been too nice! So after a safe flight she was in Berlynn's arms
at SFO for a brief and hectic stay. |

The cousins drove down and picked up Mom and aunt and had lunch in her favorite restaurant. The restaurant manager, Richard, was nice enough to take their picture before they were served! |

On Thursday the cousins drove across the Bay to Castro Valley to see Debbie's godparents Uncle George and Aunt Shirley. Of course they had to do the lunch thing, at a fine gourmet dining establishment, and then they went back to George and Shirley's to hang out with Candy, their dog. |

| "Hmm, this purse looks interesting. Smells good too. I wonder what's in here?" | "Just because it is up on the couch, I can still reach it - I think there are some treats on the bottom!" |

| At night, the regular crew went out to dinner to our favorite Sushi restaurant in Burlingame. The food is on little boats that go around the bar, and you pick off the little plates that you like! | |

Some of the food is not what
everyone is used to, there is sushi, and smoked fish and sticky rice and
calamari! Debbie enjoyed most everything, at one point one of the little calamaris wanted to escape! Hmmm, I wonder where we could take her tomorrow night for unusual food! For a special treat, click here! |

| On Friday morning we took Debbie to see the houses that she lived in when she was little. Here is the house on Bambi Lane in east San Jose. | After Bambi Lane, she moved to this house on Audobon Lane, from there she walked to her first elementary school. |
| Here is Debbie taking a picture of her old elementary school. | ![]() |

We left early the next morning with promises that we would be back at Thanksgiving. Before we took off, while we were loading up the car, Leah ate her oatmeal, Lindsay had a spoon full of cereal in her mouth when the flash went off, and Lauren told Berlynn that driving to Tuolumne is going to be a piece of cake, since she's driven to Florida from Maryland, and that was ok, so like nine hours to Tuolumne doesn't sound like a big deal, especially if we leave VERY early in the morning, and..... |
| Too soon it was time to get on the road for our trip back. It did take nine hours to get back to San Carlos, and we're ready to do it all over again in five weeks! | ![]() |
