Saturday afternoon, Julia looked
out the window and saw deer everywhere! Sure, they spotted her looking
through the window, but she didn't seem to bother them very much. She
started counting them...

...but they kept moving all
around. Most of them were does, but a couple of them had little buds
where their antlers were going to grow in soon.

| She counted eight of them and
then looked at the other side of the house. Did she count these already
or were they different ones? |

| We've never seen so many deer so
close to the house and so at ease! We sure enjoyed their visit! |
 |
| The following weekend one of the
quail that lives in the shrub near the hot tub was visiting on the sun
patio. |
