Cows and Barns

Driving back to the Bay Area, the sky was dramatic and it was worth taking a few pictures to highlight the clouds.  I didn't know there was adventure ahead!
With the sky like this, it's a good time to take pictures for the Barn Project, so there were a couple of barns along the road that weren't photographed yet.
One of the more intriguing barns is this really long pole barn outside Escalon, turning down the country road to get closer is where my adventure began.
It seems some of the girls wanted to go out for a Sunday stroll - no, they didn't get permission, they were just out seeing if the grass really was greener!
"Hmmmm, do you think this means it is safe to cross the street here?"
Too soon the ranch hands started herding the girls back towards the barn, while my car blocked the road to keep them from running away.

"Oh well, it was fun while we were out!"

Of course any commotion in the area draws all the nosy neighbors.
When the girls were back in the barn and the noise died down, I could return to taking the photographs of the sky and barn.
