Late Winter Storm

Gathering clouds signal the oncoming of a winter storm A darkening sky highlights snow from previous storms
Flowers enjoy the last sunlight But it fades fast
As flakes fall, trees become heavy Nothing is spared the fine coat of white powder
Some things are now unrecognizable Others are inconceivable
After a while, snow becomes water again The birds come back out
The sun quickly melts away the last of the powder and Sarah decides it's nice enough to drive to Oma and Opa's
