Berlynn saw a Christmas wreath made out
of horseshoes, so at the craft fair we spoke to the blacksmith about making
us one. He said "no problem, it will be ready next week, come by the
shop and pick it up."
So we drove past Angels Camp, and drove
and drove and drove until we could see nowhere.
Finally, the pavement quit, we saw an
anvil road sign and figured this was the place!
We found the smith but our wreath wasn't ready yet - so
we looked around his shop a bit.
He stamped our names in it, then laid it out on his
welding table.
He welded all the shoes together.
Did a bit of grinding to make it look pretty.
And we hung it on the front door! We're going to
finish it with a little holly and tinsel and we have a one-of-a-kind item!
