Palm Springs in the Fall
 |
When we left at 4 am, the only things
on the road were the newspaper trucks and the occasional early driver headed
for vacation. The sun came up somewhere around Kettleman City as we
continued our drive south.
We always have an adventure, no matter
where we go, and by the time we were in Pasadena, we saw smoke! |
 |
It looked like a careless driver had tossed something
burning out the window, and a hillside was in flames. Two lanes were
closed and there were about 30 fire trucks! |
 |
There were four helicopters buzzing
around sucking up water from a canal and dropping it directly on the fire.
We passed it quickly and continued heading southeast. |
 |
We stopped in Upland, at the water gardens to see what
we could learn about redoing our pond. Not too helpful, but there were
some beautiful lilies. |
 |
So what does the place look like? Well, it's on a
corner in our favorite neighborhood, it's not much to look at from the
front.... |
 |
...and the inside, though very comfortable is sort of
plain. Here is the living room. |
 |
The master bedroom is a study in white on white... |
 |
...but the backyard pool is where our little oasis
really shines! We can do some serious relaxing in and around this
pool! |
 |
And when we take a break from the sun,
we have lunch at our favorite taqueria in town! (we have solid food too!) |
 |
But we always hurry back to the house and the pool,
relaxing is a priority! |
 |
Berlynn is not the only one that enjoys the pool!
Swimming laps is a great way to get a little exercise in the morning. |
 |
I'm taking the little woman on a bike ride tomorrow, so
stick around!
