Things we learned...
 |
Not only did we see a lot on our trip,
but we learned, a few things as well.
I learned that when you're out in wide
open spaces, and the scenery is spectacular, the best views may be down at
your feet or behind you. (There is a metaphor for life in there
somewhere...)
Here's a bunny in Taos.

No matter how much technology you have - laptop
computers, GPS, night vision monocular, cell phones... There is nothing like
a map, a pad of paper and a pen. A
stinkbug in White Sands. |
 |
The most important thing about an RV is
a comfortable driver's seat.
Planning and making reservations ahead of time may sound like being
over-prepared, but it worked well for us. (Note to Alex: We
arrived in Gallup, NM, 4 minutes behind schedule!) A purple moth on
Bessie's radiator. |
 |
We planned to drive 1,877 miles and actually drove
1,852. (Who knows how far we might have gone with a good
driver's seat.) In front of me
is Monument Valley, behind me is the setting moon. |
 |
Things we brought and didn't use: raincoats, scarf, too
many shoes, Internet printouts. Other
times, in the midst of a lot of scenery, the neatest things are made for you by your
wife. Sand Graffiti by Berlynn at White Sands.
