Summer Potpourri

Sometimes we have too many pictures for a story, other times we don't have enough pictures for a whole story. So, we'll share some with you here.

The big event early in the summer was Opa and Oma's 50th anniversary. Here they are with the girls, Julia, Krista, Sarah and Rebecca.

We went to the laundromat near Columbia College, their pond is a little bigger than ours, if you look closely, you can see the trout swimming in the shadows.

We take Spike to the dog park so that he can socialize with other dogs. At first he was a little afraid and preferred a safe shoulder to nosing around...

Fourth of July fireworks from the balcony in San Carlos. Here the street lamp across the street made fireworks of its own in the lens.
Our water lily has been blooming like crazy all summer! We're thinking of getting a second one next year, maybe a blue one!
Here we are on our way to watch Bob, who we're hosting, sing and dance in Grease at the theater.
Bob and Stephanie (on the left) came out in their costumes to say hello to all of us before the show started.
Stephanie came over after the show and watched Spike put on a show of his own. He was so sleepy that he slid off the cushion and never woke up.
Later, Spike played with his toy and he tossed it up on the television, then he didn't know how to get it down. (He got help!)
I've been trying to get a good picture of the fish in our pond without much success. I'll keep trying, when it works, it will be on the front page!
We're sad that Rich and Jeanne moved to Arizona, we may not see them as often now. But they stopped by to say goodbye, and as always, we enjoyed visiting. We'll go see them in Arizona soon, that's a promise!
Smoke from the "Early Fire" in the Tuolumne River Canyon fills our skies before sunrise on the morning of August 10th.
