Christmas Travels
 |
We started out two days before Christmas on our road
trip. We think we have everything packed up and we're rolling along. Stella
was happy and fell asleep right away, Spike wasn't so sure about our home on
wheels. |
 |
Our first stop was in Los Altos for Christmas with
Grandma Toni and 'Grandad'. After dinner in the RV, Rebecca really enjoyed unwrapping her giant present.
|
 |
Grandad liked his new vest, it was really cool. His new
cocktail glasses were really cool as well. As for the hat - he borrowed that
to complete the cool appearance. |
 |
We spent the night in the garlic fields
of Gilroy, the sun came up early over the RV park in the morning. We had the
oddest craving for garlic toast before heading out! |
 |
Most of the way along Interstate 5 was
overcast and a little boring. California sure is a large state! |
 |
After an eight hour drive, the windmills of Palm
Springs waved at us as we drove into town. Christmas Eve in the high desert
-
temperatures are forecast to be in the mid-eighties tomorrow! |
 |
Christmas morning comes early in Palm Springs, we're a
lot farther east than at home in Tuolumne. The sun is up at the crack of
dawn, and it is a beautiful morning for a walk. |
 |
Like just about everywhere in the Coachella Valley, the
San Jacinto peaks are visible from the RV park. We're looking forward to a
nice morning and a Christmas Day brunch with the Hasset's! |
