Go West!

	We want to start 2006 at home in Tuolumne, so we pointed the RV west and started the long journey home. By sunset Wednesday, we saw the mountains of the Coachella Valley.
	We pulled back into the RV resort "Emerald Desert" in Palm Desert, just off the Interstate. It's where we stayed on Christmas Day and it is a nice halfway stop on our way home.
	As we started heading back, Laura, who was unable to join us for the festivities on Christmas Day, drove up from San Diego to say hello. We were all happy to see her, Spike nearly turned inside out.
	Laura bought us lunch at one of the nicer restaurants in Beaumont and too soon it was time to say goodbye as we left Southern California and its crazy traffic and headed back to Tuolumne.
	It's always fun to go places, but it is always nice to come home.
