Opa's 80th Birthday!

	Opa turned 80 and he wished for all of his princesses to be present. So they all came and waited at the restaurant for him to show up!
	He was very surprised to see all the girls! Tegan got the prize for coming from the furthest away - all the way from Denver!
	Hugs all around and everyone sat down to examine the menu and enjoy a wonderful lunch.
	And Opa got caught up with stories about cars, school projects, boyfriends...
	Sometimes it was fun just to sit and listen.
	Afterwards, we went to Opa and Oma's house where he got to open his presents. Included were birthday cards from Simonis relatives from Begium, Australia, Brazil, Germany and of course Holland.
	He also got a trip out to Monterey and Carmel along with gift certificates for the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium that he and Mom will enjoy on his actual birthday.
	Then the professional photographer came in and took a number of pictures of him surrounded by his princesses. No, this is the amateur version of that shot.
	A chocolate cake with raspberry filling completed the day. What a nice birthday. Special thanks to all the Simonis folks that sent cards - it was really appreciated!
