More Palm Springs
 |
Is there any question why I'm in love? This is the look
that I get when I ask her to join me for an early morning anniversary
breakfast at Sherman's Deli! Hmmm, and breakfast was good too! |
 |
We walked over to Palm Canyon, that's the main drag
through town, and did a little window shopping. Here's Berlynn with Lucy,
who looks as though she's not quite awake! |
 |
We spotted Carmen Moo-randa in a shop window.
Unfortunately the store was still closed. So it was time to go back to the
house, jump in the pool, change clothes and come back and go shopping!
Carmen had to come home with us as a souvenir from our trip. |
 |
Palm Canyon drive is quiet at eight in
the morning. Perhaps a good setting for another mystery novel... |
 |
The cell phone rang early during
breakfast with congratulatory wishes from Mom and Dad. It rang again a
little later when we were shopping, this time it was Rich and Jeanne! |
 |
The phone didn't stop ringing, it was very nice to hear
from Laura, Geoff, Taryn and the Varni family! |
 |
Then it was time for some serious
shopping. Sandals for Berlynn, a shirt for Rebecca, a skirt for Sarah,
something for Laura, on an on. |
 |
Since we found Elvis' house, it was
only fair that we take a picture at his sidewalk star as well... |
 |
Before our special dinner out that
evening, Spike reluctantly agreed to join us and pose for a picture outside
the front door of our little bungalow. His attention was diverted by someone
walking by, another dog barking one street over, a bird on the lawn, a bug
on the sidewalk, the airplane overhead, thoughts of kibbles... |
 |
We had to wait for an hour and a half (!) to get a
table at P.F. Chang's in Rancho Mirage, but we enjoyed the sunset over the
San Jacinto's while we sat outside.
The end of a perfect week is near... :( |
