On our own...

Now that all the kids are gone, what do we do? Well, there is a chance to go out for an afternoon coffee.
And it is time to catch up on what is going on at the office. Conference calls on Skype are a great way to go.
We get to try out new little restaurants. The Cowboy Way on Indian Canyon has only been there a few months, but they have great barbecue. The pulled pork was yummy and the chili we sampled was excellent.
We were also asked to do some shopping for Mom. Couldn't find what she needed, but what a great holiday spot when they have an array of grills for sale in January!
We do spend a lot of time by the pool, here Spike seems to be reaching for the anti-aging sunblock.
Not to rub it in, but the upper number is the outdoor temperature next to the pool...
It does cool off at night, and you need boots, a coat, a scarf to go out after the sun goes down...
Here we are waiting to eat at P.F. Chang's in The River shopping center in Rancho Mirage.
Two nights later it was pizza downtown Palm Springs during the Thursday night street fair.
Of course when there is the street fair, there is the "Ask the Rabbi" booth. I wanted to ask him "why?" but didn't have time to wait for the answer...

Oh, and he's been doing this a while - check out the picture I took of him in September of 2001 on this page.

This dog belonged to one of the artists selling their goods and she was just chilling, not offering any advice to anyone. Check out the sweater AND skirt...
We're not sure if they left up the holiday decorations, or if the town was decked out for the film festival. But the stars were definitely in Palm Springs this week!
Most of all, we spend a lot of time in our little home away from home on Chia Road.
